On Friday, Jake, Dad and I went up to Red Rock for father and sons. We also brought Cole Swasey along for the ride because his dad is deployed. Of course it was awesome. First we picked up Jacob Eckersley because his dad wasn't home from work yet. Then we grabbed some snacks and Subway sandwiches ( The one I ordered was the best sandwich I ever tasted in my life : > ).
When we got there we pretty much hung out. Until a few of us found these weird pole type things sticking out of the ground. They were pretty flimsy so we started catapulting rocks. Soon everyone was catapulting. At night I scavenged a few glow sticks from the car and we all started flinging those. I had the world record of the farthest . Some of us went out and tried to catch the shooting glow sticks.
Then it happened. WAR! We all were chucking and launching glow sticks at each other. Some of them broke and the liquid got all over us. It was teachers and priests against the 11 year olds, deacons, 2 teachers and some brave 7-9 year olds. It went on until we all got too tired and went to bed.
In the morning we had to get 2 athletes to early soccer games so we didn't have time to do anything. This father and sons is one that I will always remember.
